I added the hands to create the feeling of the struggle and to introduce the human element to this piece. Trying to decide if I should sketch them or leave them as photos. If I decide to leave them as photos I will use a different image.
i think the natural color of the photo of the hands works well with the image. But if you sketch it, just integrate the color more than just leaving it black like in the image now then I think it would look fine. It would tie in more with your other images because they are sketched to. But like I said, i really like the original hand color as is in the photo.
